The mission of EightCAP, Inc. is to advocate and promote the health, education, and welfare of residents in the service area.
EightCAP, Inc., a private non-profit corporation, was established as a Community Action Agency in 1966, serving the mid Michigan counties of Gratiot, Ionia, Isabella, and Montcalm. In 1981, EightCAP was designated as the administrative entity for the Central Area Michigan Works! Consortium, a workforce investment area, publicly-recognized as a Michigan Works Agency. Each county has at least one EightCAP affiliated office, one Michigan Works! Service Center, and multiple Head Start Centers.
As a community-based agency, EightCAP has extensive program and administrative experience to ensure efficient and effective programs. As a Michigan Works! Agency, EightCAP has extensive expertise to meet the needs of area employers and job seekers. Collectively, EightCAP collaborates all programs to meet community and individual needs.
EightCAP is one of only three agencies in Michigan that is both a Community Action Agency and a Michigan Works Agency.
